Steps to Delete Your Account & Data
- Send Your Request: Email us at info@simplestepsedu.ca with the subject line "Account and Data Deletion Request."
- Include your full name
- Include the email address associated with your account
- Identity Verification: We may ask for additional details to confirm your identity before proceeding with the deletion.
- Confirmation of Deletion: Once your identity is verified, we will delete your account and associated personal data. You will receive an email confirming the successful deletion.
Types of Data Deleted
- Personal Information: Deleted
This includes your name, email address, and any profile-related details you have provided. - Uploaded Content: Deleted
Any files, audio or other content you have uploaded through our services.
Anonymous Data for Analytics & Improvements
We may keep certain data in an anonymous or aggregated form that cannot be linked to you personally. This non-identifiable data is used strictly for:
- Analyzing feature usage and service performance
- Enhancing user experience through product improvements
Google Play Subscriptions & Payment Data
If you have a subscription or made a purchase via Google Play:
- Google Play Records: Subscription and transaction data are managed by Google Play. We remove subscription-related data on our end, but Google Play retains its own records.
- Manage Your Subscription:
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Go to Menu > Subscriptions.
- Select the relevant subscription.
- Follow the prompts to cancel or manage your subscription.
- Refunds: Requests for refunds are handled directly by Google Play, per their refund policies.
Retention & Exceptions
Certain data may be retained to comply with legal or regulatory obligations (e.g., financial reporting). In such cases, we ensure that data is not personally identifiable once your account is deleted.
Processing Timeline
We aim to complete account and data deletion requests within 7-14 business days after verifying your identity. Delays may occur if required by law or due to technical complexities.
Important Notes
- Irreversible: Once your account and associated data are deleted, the process cannot be reversed.
- Loss of Access: Deletion removes your access to all SIMPLESTEPS EDUCATION INC. services tied to that account.
